Creating Your Style Guide

Your Style Guide in Pageloop is the key to ensuring all your documentation sounds just like you. By defining your brand's voice, tone, and specific terms, you help Pageloop create and update articles with perfect consistency. This guide shows you how to set it up.

You can define your style guide in two ways: during the initial setup process or later from your account settings.

From the Setup Checklist

When you first log in to Pageloop, you'll see the Setup Checklist on your main page. This is the quickest way to get your style guide configured.

  1. On the dashboard, find the Setup Checklist.

  2. Click Create a Style Guide to open the configuration panel.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    • Writing Tone: Describe the tone that best represents your brand voice. For example, "casual, friendly, and helpful." If you don't set anything here, Pageloop will use the Google Developer Style Guide by default.

    • Product-Specific Terms: List any words specific to your product that you want our models to recognize, such as brand names or technical terms. For example, "Pageloop, Agent, API".

From Your Account Settings

You can access and update your style guide at any time from your settings menu.

  1. Navigate to your account Settings. You can access this by clicking on your profile at the bottom-left of the page.

  2. In the Settings menu, click Style Guide in the left sidebar.

  3. Update your details in the form and click Save to apply your changes.

Using a Custom Style Guide Document

If you have a full, detailed style guide document that you'd like Pageloop to follow, we can set that up for you. Please email your style guide to us at [email protected], and our team will configure it for your account.
