You can use the Pageloop Chrome Extension to scan your product for changes and automatically identify updates needed in your knowledge base. By recording your workflow, you can capture UI changes, take new screenshots, and generate a list of suggested edits for your existing articles.
Record Your Flow
Open the Pageloop Chrome Extension from your browser toolbar. Alternatively, in the web app, select + Quick Actions and choose Find Updates.
Select Find Updates in the extension pop-up. Choose the tab you want to record. If your workflow spans multiple tabs (like an integration setup), select Share All Tabs.
Optionally, enable your Microphone to record a voice transcript. This is helpful for providing additional context that isn't visible on the screen.
Click Continue to start recording. Navigate through your product feature as a user would. As you encounter UI changes, take screenshots using the camera button on the floating panel or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S (highly recommended for speed).
Once you have completed the workflow and captured all necessary screenshots, click Save Flow or press Ctrl+R.
Submit and Review
After saving, a new tab will open where you can finalize the update request.
Review the captured steps and screenshots on the left side of the screen. On the right side, fill in the Release Notes to describe what has changed.
Critical Step: If your update involves UI changes, ensure you toggle on This is a UI change. This allows Pageloop to suggest replacing outdated images with the new screenshots you just captured.
Click Find Updates to begin the scan.
Reviewing Suggestions
Once the scan is complete, Pageloop will generate suggestions for your articles.
Navigate to the Updates tab in the sidebar to see the list of jobs. Select your recent job to view the impacted articles.
Click on an article to review specific changes. Pageloop will highlight text that needs updating and outline outdated screenshots in orange. Click the highlighted elements to accept the AI-suggested text or image replacements.
