How to Annotate and Edit Screenshots

Pageloop's image editor allows you to add annotations and make adjustments to your screenshots directly within your articles. This helps you create clear, visual instructions for your users.

Accessing the Image Editor

To begin editing an image, navigate to the article draft that contains it.

Hover over the image and click the Edit Image button. This will open the image editor overlay.

Using the Annotation Tools

The editor provides a range of tools to mark up your screenshots. You can select a tool and customize its appearance, such as color and thickness, from the toolbar at the bottom.

The available tools include:

  • Rectangle: Draw rectangular shapes to highlight areas.

  • Ellipse: Draw circles or ovals.

  • Arrow: Add arrows to point to specific elements.

  • Text: Insert text directly onto the image. You can adjust font, size, and color.

  • Eraser: Remove any annotations you have made.

  • Line: Draw straight lines.

  • Path: Draw freeform lines.

Cropping and Filtering

In addition to annotations, you can use the tools on the left to make other adjustments.

  • Crop: Select the Crop tool to remove unwanted parts of the image. Drag the corner handles to define the area you want to keep.

  • Filter: Apply visual adjustments to your image, such as changing the brightness or contrast.

Saving Your Edits

Once you are satisfied with your changes, click the Save button in the bottom-right corner to apply the edits to the image in your article.
